Niagara Catholic Technological Skills Competition 2017

Niagara Catholic District School Board (NCDSB) is pleased to present the 14th annual Technology Skills Competition:

 

Niagara Catholic Baking and Culinary Competition-Thursday, March 2nd 2017- 8:30am-3pm- Niagara College, Niagara on the Lake Campus

Niagara Catholic Welding Competition- Tuesday, February 28th 2017- 8:30am-3pm- Niagara College, Welland Campus

Niagara Catholic 14th Annual Technological Skills Competition- Wednesday, March 8th 2017- 8:30am- 3pm- Scotiabank Convention Centre, Niagara Falls

Niagara Catholic 14th Annual Technological Skills Competition Awards- Thursday, March 9th 2017- 8:45am-11:30am- Scotiabank Convention Centre, Niagara Falls

 

The competition features over 300 students from across Niagara Catholic’s eight secondary schools who will compete in categories that include:  character animation, architectural design, aesthetics and hairstyling, auto service, cabinetry, carpentry, electrical installation, horticulture and landscaping, website development and many more.  The competition will see local field professionals and experts as judges who will advance the winners to the Ontario Technological Skills Competition in May 2017.  Gold medal winners will represent the province at the Skills Canada National Competition.

 

The NCDSB competition would not be a success without the support of local community businesses and organizations.  We are proud to partner with:  Scotiabank Convention Centre, City of Niagara Falls, Niagara College, Brock University, Job Gym, Fonthill Building Supply, Young’s Automotive, Linde Canada, DeWalt Tools, Ontario Construction Careers Alliance, International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 303, Canadian Piping Trades Local 67, Labourers’ International Union of North America (LIUNA) and numerous others who contribute their time and resources to benefit our students.

 

We invite parents, friends and school community members to come out to watch and support the next generation of skilled trades in action!
