Creating Pathways to Success

Outdoor Education

Niagara Catholic District School Board is committed to developing innovative and interactive experiential approaches to outdoor education and learning that both embrace and enhance current curriculum guidelines, as determined by the Ontario Ministry of Education, as well as the Ontario Catholic School Graduate Expectations.

Along with our partners from Brock University, Niagara Regional Native Centre and the Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority, we believe that students should have access to:

  • Engaging mind and movement activities
  • Authentic cultural, spiritual and environmental lessons

The Niagara Catholic Outdoor Education Program is located at St. Kateri Tekakwitha Centre - in the former village of St. Johns at 3054 Orchard Hill Road, Thorold.
