Intermediate Speak Out

Grades 7 and 8 students will write and deliver speeches during class time, beginning in January, with the support of classroom teachers.  An emphasis on differentiated instruction and assessment to support the diverse learning needs of all intermediate students in speech writing and delivery should be a focus for teachers.

One intermediate student (Grade 7 or 8) is selected to participate in the Team Speak Out! event according to your Family of Schools:

• Team 1 – Blessed Trinity Catholic Secondary School, Saint Francis Catholic Secondary School and Denis Morris Catholic High School Family of Schools
• Team 2 – Holy Cross Catholic Secondary School, Saint Paul Catholic High School and Saint Michael Catholic High School Family of Schools
• Team 3 – Notre Dame College School and Lakeshore Catholic High School Family of Schools

The CEC Speak Out! Showcase will include the 1st and 2nd Place Speakers and Catholic Messenger from each team.
